Clavendo

Read ahead. Keep the pulse. Review one thing.

Short, focused attempts make sight-reading practice easier to repeat.

A useful practice routine

  1. Scan the key, time signature, starting position and any changes before playing.
  2. Choose a steady tempo you can maintain. Count in before the first note.
  3. Continue through slips, then review missed notes, extra notes and timing separately.
  4. Repeat a troublesome passage slowly, then try a fresh excerpt.

What the studio measures

With MIDI input, Clavendo compares captured note pitches and onsets against the selected score. It does not assess posture, tone production or the full range of musical interpretation. Microphone input is a limited pitch estimate, especially for chords.

Difficulty and exam coverage

A practice difficulty label is not proof that a piece belongs to a current exam syllabus. Use the current official requirements and your teacher’s advice when preparing for an exam.

For a repeatable session, follow the piano practice routine. If you use a keyboard, see what MIDI feedback measures.
