What MIDI piano feedback can tell you.
A MIDI keyboard reports which keys you played and when. Clavendo can compare those note events with a selected score so your next practice step is based on an actual take.
Connect and record
Connect a MIDI keyboard, open the practice studio, choose or import a score and select an excerpt. Set the tempo and count-in, then record a complete short passage. Browser MIDI support depends on your device and browser; the setup guide explains alternatives.
Read the result
Matched notes have the expected pitch within the timing window. Missed notes were expected but not matched; extra notes were captured without a score match. Timing is reported separately. Empty or unusable recordings show insufficient evidence instead of a confident percentage.
What it does not measure
MIDI note events cannot judge posture, tone, pedalling, expressive intent or whether a teacher would award a particular exam mark. Microphone mode estimates pitches and is especially unreliable for chords; it is not the same as a MIDI recording.
Turn feedback into practice
Choose one error pattern, slow that passage and record again. Save the take to compare your own attempts over time. You can also try the account-free exercise or follow the practice routine.
